building a fermentation chiller
« on: July 26, 2011, 12:25:50 PM »

I'm considering building a fermentation chiller and want to know if anyone knows of the cheapest place to buy or obtain free scraps of extruded polystyrene in the Charlottesville area.

I am following Ken Schwartz's plans:

Any other insight or advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,
PJ

You can use either pink or blue insulation foam that you get at Lowe's. If it's not thick enough, buy two sheets, cut them to size and double them up. (Cut, glue together with something like Liquid Nails and then build your box.)

Builder's Supply may carry thicker sheets.

Life's too short to drink mediocre beer.

1. of only ordinary or moderate quality; neither good nor bad; barely adequate.
2. rather poor or inferior.
