two thumbs up!  Great aroma.   I have to plan Tom's Maui Wowie coffee stout, since I normally do not drink caffeine

Jamey's Cherry Stout

I tried Jamey's cherry stout last night and it was pretty good.  When I started sipping it, I think the beer was too cold and I did not taste or smell the cherries at all.  As the beer warmed, I picked up a nice cherry note.  Overall, a very drinkable beer.

However, I might add, that I could not get that nasty picture Jamie posted of the cherry stout fermenting.  The bloated cherries floating in the dark malt reminded me ever so much of a creepy biology lab with "organs" floating in some sort of perservative.  Yuck!

I had my second bottle of Jamey's cherry stout last night and it has aged really well.  I think it has been about three months since I tried the first bottle and it was very smooth.  I did Jamey's trick of pulling it out of the fridge 15 min before drinking, it it worked great.  Nice head on the beer with a hint of pink to it.  Smooth and delicious.  I could not smell the cherries that much, but I did detect a cherry flavor on the back of the palate.

Another great beer, Jamey.  Now will you please change your avatar?  That think creeps me out.   Tongue
