Does anyone know if Fifth Season will again be a drop off point?

In the past, that is something I've arranged directly with the other clubs. I'm sure they'll reach out to us in July, and I'll do my best to get the same kind of drop-off deal working again.
Often it works out for everyone because someone will have to come to Cville from the host clubs to pick up competition swag from Backbone, Blue Mountain, Starr Hill, etc., anyway.

I am plotting my entries, I figure that I can brew another couple of beers to be in good condition for the competition - just have to decide what to brew.

There is another thread giving the details of Fifth Season being the drop-off point (again) for the Dominion Cup in this category.

Newbie question or two on entering a competition:
I've done all the required paperwork (ie label) and paid for the entry. I will take my brew to Fifth Season in a day or two.
1. If I were to rubberband the label to the bottle right out of the fridge, then the label will disintegrate. So, I suppose I need to wait for the condensation to go away before doing that. Right?
2. How does the beer get back down to its proper temperature before being judged?

Bob,
Yes, definitely let the beer come to room temperature before applying the label paper and rubber band. When the beer arrives at the competition site, volunteers use the labels to generate a entry ID that goes on the cap as a sticker. Then the label is removed. That way, there is no way the judges know who made the beer. After that, the beer is loaded into case boxes and cooled down somehow (walk in cooler, fridge, etc.).
I hope that helps,
Tom

Hey Jamey - thanks for the heads up and for arranging the drop off with 5th Season (thanks to them also)
I just dropped off six bottles of cider from last Fall at 5th Season
Good luck to everyone!
I signed up to be a steward in the afternoon (cant make the morning)
If anyone wants to carpool for the afternoon shift, let me know

Thanks to Jamey for setting this all up. I dropped of 4 entries on Tuesday. If you get a chance, Jamey, let us know how many entries CAMRA was sending, in total.

Hey Kevin - Thanks for entering and volunteering.
I don't know who's attending the Cup for sure, but Al and I will be there for both the AM and PM sessions. (Which messes with any kind of carpool arrangements.)
Good luck and I will see you there.
