Charlottesville Area Masters of Real Ale

We have just finished registering Wild Wolf as an official AHA big brew day location.

We will have hops, grains and yeast to match up with the three recipes (REAL IPA, porter and wit bier) as well as water treatment available for the IPA

I will probably have a 1bbl batch each of the wit bier and the IPA available for growler fills starting around then. (the traditional ipa recipe and mash technique looks fun, I will also do a traditional wit mash!)

We will have the parking lot partially cordoned off, I may bring a grill, and the event will be rain or shine, with Wild Wolf able to provide only two small "EZ UP" type coverings along with the awning in front of the shop.

I have ordered hops and malts . . . I ordered more than I need for these brews, hoping for a crowd.

I will have examples of all ( or at least the wit and the cool ipa) before the actual date. . .

We will have a bonus ingrediant for anyone who attends the event at wild wolf
(definitely some high end ORGANIC orange puree as well as "zest" (nice peel) for the wit, probably a HUGE yeast starter for the others . . . save yourself some money and come have some FUN!)

My assistant Josh and I will be on hand for help and advise, we will have hose hookups

I'm planning on participating that day.  What time do you want to start?

We start our homebrew demos every saturday at noon. I figured this worked very well for the big brew as well! Our demo will probably be the wit beer.

Will there be water hookups for wort chilling, etc?  Do you want us to bring out own water? hoses, etc?
