Jamil-O-Chiller
« on: May 12, 2009, 08:07:53 PM »

My brother sent me this, which a member of his club was going to try.  Seeing how Evan posted a bunch of chiller information recently, we can make this "immersion chiller month" with some more info from additional sources.

You can get 60'of 1/2" copper @ McMaster, but it is expensive now. Last I looked it was running around $103.

I haven't had an immersion chiller until now.  FYI, Lowe's (at least the location at Zion Crossroads) has some excellent prices.  I picked up 50' of 1/4" tubing for $23. Yeah, that's right. I built an immersion chiller for less than $30. I think 3/8" was $10 more, but that was too pricey for me.  Grin  Get it now while copper prices are low!
