January CAMRA meeting
« on: January 09, 2009, 12:17:03 PM »

Sorry that I wasn't able to attend this month's meeting.  Even though the weather ended up being just rain, I was already carpooling with my wife by the time anyone found out it wasn't going to ice over. I heard that the turnout was only about 6 people.  Sorry to hear that.  It's tough particularly when you're trying to come with ideas for the coming year.  Can you fill us in via the forum what was discussed?  Thanks.

The meeting was intimate, but great.  We expected the turn out to be low following the holidays and after the possibility of freezing rain was announced.

We discussed the next meeting, which will be at the Starr Hill Brewery in February, and talked about dues coming up again in March.  Kevin kindly offered up his place again around St. Patrick's Day for an early tasting and an open party afterwards with a band.  Many things were discussed, but we hardly had the quorum necessary to make any real decisions.

We can discuss the hot topics briefly next month and we are penciled in to do something at Kevin's place, but I'll leave that date up to him.

Thanks to all that came out.  More details about the Starr Hill meeting will be announced after I talk to Mark.  Remember: he told me we could bring homebrews to the brewery, so start planning for that.
