More AB news, but this is slightly more interesting.

I get that it was probably badly marketed.  We need not look much further than Joe Camel to see the problems in that, but why shouldn't AB make energy beer drinks?  It is not a style right now, or a style I will ever make, but they have the right to do it. 

I've heard stories of non de-caf espresso being used in a stout which had the same wired up consequences.  Is it wrong to want to stay awake long enough to have one more beer for you are repsonsible?

Nothin' worse than a wide-awake drunk.   

Of course there is, but that's what we thought in our younger days when discovering that making someone drink coffee to sober up didn't work and had worse consequences than having them fall asleep.  (Letting them drive, was NOT an option, either way.)
